The exclusion is said to reflect the current state of relations between the couple and the Royal Family, following their withdrawal from royal duties, Netflix docuseries, and Harry's memoir. The Trooping of the Colour parade has commemorated the British Sovereign's birthday for over 260 years and features over 1,400 parading soldiers, 200 horses, and 400 musicians. Harry and Meghan attended last year's Trooping the Colour but were not on the Buckingham Palace balcony for the official flypast.
