Charles reportedly said he couldn’t afford to pay Meghan as a member of the royal family because he was already bankrolling Camilla and William’s growing family. The slight was the first of many the Sussexes felt from the royal family, and the book theorizes that it contributed to the couple's negative perception of the monarchy. Despite their family feud, Harry and Meghan are set to attend King Charles' coronation in May.
