He is said to be considering leaving out certain traditional elements, such as the "homage of the people," and focusing on creating a legacy in communities. William has previously expressed his desire to modernize the monarchy and make it relevant in today's world. His father, King Charles, adapted his own coronation ceremony to be shorter and smaller than his mother's in 1953.
