Keke Palmer Opens Up About Her Fluid Sexuality and Identity

Keke Palmer, while being honored with a Vanguard award at an event for the Los Angeles LGBT Center, spoke about her confusion regarding her sexuality and identity, saying that she never felt straight enough, gay enough, woman enough, or man enough. She also discussed how she often leads with masculinity and has been met with disdain as a woman. Keke questioned why her gender had to define the power she has in the world and why it had to decide her sexuality. She expressed gratitude for being seen in a room full of people who know what it's like to decide to be who you are in a world that tells you to be everything but yourself.
