Balfe to Star in Cuaron's Apple TV Horror Series Ascension

Apple TV has greenlit Ascension, a one-hour psychological horror drama from Alfonso Cuarón, starring Caitríona Balfe who also serves as an executive producer. The series, written by Natalie Erika James, Christian White, and the Cuáron brothers, follows Rose, a documentary filmmaker who investigates a mysterious 20th‑century cult. Produced by Esperanto Filmoj and Anonymous Content, Ascension is inspired by Adam Nevill's Last Days and marks Cuaron and Balfe's high-profile Apple project collaboration.
