HBO's 'Task': A Grim Yet Rewarding Crime Drama Led by Mark Ruffalo
TL;DR
The HBO miniseries 'Task' is a heavy, grim crime drama featuring complex characters and a slow start, but it gains momentum in the later episodes, culminating in a powerful finale. Despite its bleak tone and slow pacing, it offers strong performances, especially from Tom Pelphrey and Mark Ruffalo, and explores themes of grief, guilt, and moral ambiguity.
