Lanterns to Light Up Sundays as HBO/DC Series Sets Eight-Episode Run

HBO and DC Studios’ Lanterns, a new DC Original series, centers on John Stewart (Aaron Pierre) and Hal Jordan (Kyle Chandler) as they investigate a murder in the American heartland. The eight-episode season will air weekly on Sundays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and HBO Max, with the finale on October 4, 2026. The cast includes Kelly Macdonald, Laura Linney, Nathan Fillion and others; the show is co-written by Chris Mundy, Damon Lindelof, and Tom King, with Mundy as showrunner, and produced by Mundy, Lindelof, King, James Gunn, Peter Safran and more. Based on DC Comics’ Green Lantern characters, Lanterns comes from HBO in partnership with Warner Bros. Television and DC Studios.
