Neagley Lacks Reacher’s Spark as a TV Spinoff
TL;DR
Frances Neagley’s eight-episode spinoff from Reacher can’t stand on its own: despite a capable performance from Maria Sten and occasional cult-flavored moments, it lumbers with thin supporting characters, a banal setting, and familiar tropes, failing to match the momentum and tonal sharpness of the flagship series. It doesn’t justify existing as a Reacher continuation; all eight episodes premiere on Amazon Prime Video on Sept. 16.
