George R.R. Martin Supports Writers Strike, 'Game of Thrones' Spinoff Halted

The writers room for the Game of Thrones spinoff, A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight, has shut down due to the ongoing writers strike, according to George R.R. Martin. The Thrones prequel House of the Dragon is still in production, with season two scripts already completed. Martin also voiced his support for the Writers Guild of America walkout and detailed his thoughts on the matter. The Hedge Knight is based on Martin's popular trio of Dunk and Egg novellas, which chronicle the story of "Dunk" and "Egg" as they wander Westeros having adventures roughly 100 years before the events of the novels.
