Netflix Sets October 1 Debut for Florence Pugh's East of Eden

Netflix released first-look photos and announced Zoe Kazan’s modern adaptation of John Steinbeck’s East of Eden will debut on October 1. The limited series, headed by Florence Pugh as Cathy Ames, is filmed in New Zealand and produced by Pugh and Kazan with Jeb Stuart as co‑showrunner; the ensemble includes actors like Tracy Letts, Martha Plimpton, Ciarán Hinds, Christopher Abbott, Mike Faist and Hoon Lee, with Garth Davis directing episodes 1–4 and Laure de Clermont-Tonnerre directing episodes 5–7.
