Around 2,000 guests from around the world have been invited to London on May 6 to witness the coronation of King Charles III. The coronation ceremony will begin at Westminster Abbey at 11:00 a.m. local time, 6:00 a.m. Eastern. King Charles will travel from Buckingham Palace to Westminster Abbey in a procession, accompanied by The Sovereign's Escort of the Household Cavalry and hundreds of members of the British armed forces and members of the armed forces from other Commonwealth countries and British Overseas Territories. After the ceremony, the king and queen will climb into the Gold State Coach for another procession back to Buckingham Palace.
