Uganda Withdraws From Invictus Games Amid Royal Ties

Uganda has pulled out of the Invictus Games in Birmingham next year, just two months after announcing participation. General Muhoozi Kainerugaba cited the need not to be seen as opposing King Charles III, with a Ugandan government spokesman confirming the withdrawal. Invictus Games organizers said they had not received official notification. The move follows a royal letter indicating Prince Harry and Meghan are non-working royals, and Uganda had been the 26th country to join the event celebrating wounded service personnel.
