"Puyallup Nurse Accepts Plea Deal for Hep C Infection of 12 Patients"

Cora Weberg, a former nurse at Puyallup Good Samaritan, has agreed to a plea deal after being accused of stealing drugs and infecting at least 12 patients with hepatitis C. Weberg allegedly used syringes she had injected herself with on patients, resulting in their infections. She was charged with tampering with consumer products and faces a prison sentence of up to 10 years, a maximum fine of $250,000, and additional years of supervised release and probation. Weberg admitted to tampering with vials of hydromorphone and fentanyl. Her nursing license was revoked in 2018.
