Fatal Collision: Maine Man Killed in Tragic Tractor Trailer Crash

A man from Winthrop, Maine, was killed after crossing the center line on Route 2 in Farmington and crashing into an oncoming tanker truck. The driver, Noah Brochu, 26, was headed north when the collision occurred, resulting in significant damage to both vehicles. Brochu died at the scene, while the truck driver from Virginia was released after being checked at the hospital. The truck was hauling argon refrigerated liquid, which did not leak. The crash is under investigation, and it appeared that Brochu was speeding. State environmental officials responded to contain and clean up about 100 gallons of spilled diesel fuel, and the road was closed for approximately five hours during the investigation.
