Tragic Houston Collision Claims Multiple Lives, Leaves One Critical

At least six people were killed and one is in critical condition after a "major crash" in downtown Houston. The collision occurred when a driver of a black Chrysler 300 ran a red light at high speed and collided with a black Acura SUV that had the right of way. Multiple people were ejected from the vehicles, and the Chrysler also struck a pedestrian on the sidewalk. Five men and one woman died at the scene, while two others succumbed to their injuries in the hospital. The identities of the deceased are pending verification, and an investigation is underway.
