Ex-CIA Engineer Sentenced to 40 Years for Espionage and Data Leak

Former CIA software engineer Joshua Adam Schulte has been sentenced to 40 years in prison on charges of espionage and child pornography. He was convicted of releasing a trove of CIA secrets, described as a "digital Pearl Harbor," causing grave harm to national security. Schulte was also found guilty of stealing classified information and possessing child pornography, and was accused of attempting to send further classified information to WikiLeaks while in jail. He was sentenced to a lifetime of supervised release in addition to the prison term.
