Tampa Official's Husband Indicted for Alleged Fox News Hack

Tim Burke, husband of Tampa city councilmember Lynn Hurtak, has been indicted on federal charges related to an alleged conspiracy to access multiple computer systems and steal information, including from Fox News. Burke, a journalist and owner of Burke Communications, is accused of unlawfully accessing servers belonging to multiple companies and transferring their protected information. His attorney claims he was working as an investigative journalist and did not hack any website or violate terms of service. If convicted on all charges, he faces up to 62 years in federal prison.
