Texas Woman Sentenced to Prison for Threatening Judge in Trump Documents Case

Tiffani Shea Gish of Houston, Texas, was sentenced to 37 months in federal prison for making death threats against U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon, who is overseeing the case against former President Donald Trump's handling of classified material. Gish pleaded guilty to using interstate communications with a threat to kidnap or injure and admitted to leaving threatening voicemails for the judge. The sentencing comes amid other cases where judges involved in Trump-related matters have become targets, and as the trial for the classified documents case is scheduled to begin in May.
