Standoff Ends Safely: Iowa Amber Alert Suspect in Custody

The Amber Alert for a 7-year-old taken from an Iowa school has been canceled after the child was found safe following a standoff in Remsen. The suspect, 34-year-old Brandon Duong, led officers on a high-speed chase and crashed before fleeing on foot with the child and a rifle. Law enforcement negotiated with Brandon and arrested him, with the child now in the care of the Department of Human Services. Brandon is being charged with first-degree kidnapping and will be sent to the Greene County Jail, while the investigation continues.
