1980 cold case solved: Body found in Lake Erie identified.

A body found on Ohio's Lake Erie shoreline in 1980 has been identified through DNA testing and genetic genealogy as that of Patricia Eleanor Greenwood, a Michigan woman who had been missing since 1980. The case was revived by the U.S. Marshals Service after finding an old teletype from 1980 in another missing person’s cold case file. While the cause of death couldn't be determined, Sandusky police suspect Greenwood was a homicide victim and continue investigating her death.
