53-year-old cold case solved: 'Trunk Lady' identified by Florida police.

The unidentified woman found dead in a trunk in the Florida woods on Halloween night in 1969 has been identified as Sylvia June Atherton, an Arizona mother of five. Atherton was strangled with a Bolo tie and buried in a grave marked “Jane Doe” before being exhumed in 2010. Advanced DNA testing helped determine Atherton's identity. Her murder remains unsolved, and police are seeking out her two daughters who were with her in Chicago at the time of her death.
