Denali Dakota Skye Brehmer has been sentenced to 99 years in prison for her role in the murder-for-hire killing of Alaska teenager Cynthia Hoffman. Brehmer, who struck up an online relationship with Darin Schilmiller, conspired with him to lure Hoffman on a hike and then shot her in the back of the head, with the promise of receiving $9 million. Schilmiller, who was sentenced to 99 years in prison earlier, and Brehmer also conspired to coerce a minor to produce sexually explicit images. Another friend involved in the scheme, Caleb Leyland, pleaded guilty to one charge of second-degree murder and is awaiting sentencing.
