Armed Robbery Suspect Eludes Burlington Police in Multi-Mode Escape

Burlington Police are still searching for a 52-year-old armed robbery suspect, Eric Edson, who led officers on a chase starting Wednesday morning. Edson initially fled in a stolen car after being woken up during a welfare check, causing minor injuries to two officers. He later abandoned the car and escaped on a stolen bicycle, before using a paddleboard to steal a sailboat. The search was suspended on Rock Point, and the public is urged to report any sightings of Edson, who is considered armed and dangerous.
