Armed standoff in south Kansas City ends peacefully with suspect in custody.

Police have peacefully resolved a 5-hour standoff with an armed man in south Kansas City, who was taken into custody following a domestic violence assault report. The suspect was the only person inside the home during the standoff, and no one was injured. Tactical officers and negotiators were called to the scene in pursuit of a peaceful resolution, and the man turned himself into police custody without incident.
