Arrest Made as Remains of Missing Iowa Man Found

Iowa investigators have charged Jeffrey Gautreaux with first-degree murder and abuse of a corpse after finding human remains believed to be those of missing Ottumwa man, Craig Smith. The remains were discovered near Ollie, Iowa, and while officials have not been able to confirm the identity of the remains due to their condition, they have tentatively identified them based on evidence and statements collected during the investigation.
