Arrest Made in 20-Year-Old Cold Case Murder of NYPD Detective's Daughter.

Edward V. Holley, 42, has been charged with second-degree murder in the 2003 killing of Megan McDonald in Orange County. McDonald's former boyfriend is accused of repeatedly hitting her head with a blunt object. Holley was already being held in the Orange County Jail on unrelated charges and would be returned there. The case was unsolved but not considered cold, and it has been on the minds of locals for years.
