Arrest Made in Brutal Slaying of LA Model Found in Refrigerator

A Minnesota man has been arrested as a suspect in the brutal killing of Maleesa Mooney, a 31-year-old pregnant woman and real estate agent in Los Angeles. Mooney was found dead in her downtown apartment with blunt-force trauma injuries, her body bound and placed in the refrigerator. The suspect, 41-year-old Magnus Daniel Humphrey, was identified by LAPD detectives and is to be transported to L.A. to face charges of murder and torture. The motive and evidence linking Humphrey to the crime have not been disclosed. Mooney's family reported her phone, laptop, and designer purse stolen from her apartment, and vague texts were sent to them after her death.
