A three-year-old child accessed a gun and fired a single round, injuring two people in an apartment complex in Lafayette, Indiana. The incident led to the arrest of Trayshaun Smith, who was wanted for murder in neighboring Cook County, Illinois. Smith visited a hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, and investigators later determined that the shooting occurred at the apartment complex.
