Arrest Made in Fatal Shooting of Rideshare Driver, Security Guard, and Vehicle Theft

Denver police have arrested Michael Gawain Jackson, the suspect accused of shooting and killing a rideshare driver, shooting a security guard, and stealing the security company's vehicle. The crimes occurred on Monday night, with the rideshare driver being shot while driving and crashing into a tree. The security guard, who stopped to assist, was also shot. Jackson then threatened the security guard's partner and stole the security vehicle. Police located the stolen vehicle using GPS and apprehended the suspect near the state Capitol. Two firearms were recovered from the vehicle. Jackson is being held for investigation of first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, and felony menacing. The shootings appear to be random, with no known connection between the suspect and the victims.
