Arrest made in murder of Detroit synagogue leader Samantha Woll

Michael Jackson-Bolanos, a 28-year-old man, has been charged with the murder of Samantha Woll, the leader of a Detroit synagogue. Woll was found stabbed to death outside her home on October 21, 2023. Authorities have stated that Jackson-Bolanos was an apparent stranger to Woll, and there is no evidence to suggest that the crime was motivated by hate. Another person was briefly taken into custody in connection with the investigation but was later released without charges.
