Arrest Made in NYC Subway Mass Shooting Threat

A 19-year-old man, Robert Trout III, was arrested by the FBI and the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office a day before he allegedly planned to carry out a subway massacre in New York City. Trout had posted online threats, claiming he would shoot "anybody I see" and kill dozens of people. He displayed multiple firearms in his Instagram posts. Trout, who has a history of substance abuse, is currently awaiting trial on a separate concealed weapon charge. He made his first court appearance and was ordered held without bail. The MTA stated that the threats were not credible, and the NYPD confirmed awareness of the threats and Trout's arrest.
