Arrests Made After Elementary Students Consumed Fentanyl-Laced Gummies

Two individuals have been arrested after seven elementary school students in Amherst County, Virginia, ate gummy bears from a plastic bag that tested positive for fentanyl. Clifford Dugan, who has prior drug charges, is facing charges for contributing to the delinquency of a minor and possession of a firearm as a convicted felon. Nicole Sanders is charged with possessing methamphetamine. Five of the affected students sought medical treatment, and the investigation is ongoing with additional charges pending.
