Austin police seek tips in weekend of random shootings

Austin police are asking for the public's help identifying suspect(s) tied to up to nine weekend shootings that injured up to four people; two incidents targeted Austin fire stations and there is no clear motive yet. A shelter-in-place order was issued for a large area of South Austin. The suspect is described as a male in his late teens, driving a black/dark-blue 2012 Hyundai Sonata with a broken right window; police said he may also have been in a gold sedan or a white Kia Optima. Tip lines and Crime Stoppers offer rewards up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest.
