Bond boosted to $10M for Barry Morphew after breach of conditions

An Alamosa judge raised Barry Morphew’s bond from $3 million to $10 million cash after he breached bond conditions by a Denver hit-and-run; if released, he would be confined at home in the San Luis Valley on a GPS monitor. Morphew, indicted for first-degree murder in his wife Suzanne Morphew's 2020 disappearance, faced renewed scrutiny as prosecutors argued the breach showed noncompliance, while the defense contended the case is not a danger to the community. The monitoring firm RMS was criticized for lax oversight that allowed the breach.
