Brave College Student Escapes Kidnapping Suspect in Dramatic Car Rescue

A college student at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville managed to escape after being abducted by a stranger who dragged her into his vehicle. The suspect, James Robert Allen, crashed the car, allowing the victim to flee. Police do not believe the victim and Allen knew each other. The victim was taken to the hospital and remains in stable condition. Allen has been arrested and is facing charges of strangulation or suffocation and abduction. Authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward.
