California Man Arrested for Serial Killings of Sex Workers in Mexico and US

A California man, Bryant Rivera, has been arrested by U.S. officials as a fugitive from Mexico, where he is charged with femicide and accused of the serial killings of three women. Mexican authorities have dubbed him the "Ted Bundy of Tijuana." Rivera is accused of killing three women between September 2021 and February 2022. He was arrested in the U.S. and is being held at the request of Mexican authorities. Extradition to Mexico is expected, where prosecutors plan to pursue a maximum sentence for the three femicides. Rivera allegedly met one of the victims, a dancer and sex worker, in a hotel room before fleeing to the U.S. Witnesses have identified him, describing him as a regular at the bar where the victim worked.
