Calls for Murder Charges in Chokehold Death of Jordan Neely

Lawyers representing the family of Jordan Neely, who died after being placed in a chokehold by former Marine Daniel Penny, have criticized Manhattan prosecutors for only charging Penny with manslaughter. The lawyers argue that Penny's actions were intentional and that he should face a murder charge. Penny was arraigned on a charge of second-degree manslaughter and released on bail. The medical examiner ruled Neely's death a homicide caused by neck compression.
