Campbellsville University Wrestling Champ Arrested for Fellow Student's Murder

Charles Escalera, a 21-year-old wrestling champion and student at Campbellsville University, has been charged with the murder of 18-year-old freshman Josiah Malachi Kilman in a dorm room at the Kentucky Baptist college. Kilman was found unresponsive and later died at a hospital. Escalera, a former high school wrestling state title winner, was arrested after hiding out in a barn. The motive for the killing and details on Kilman's cause of death have not been released. The university was under lockdown until Escalera's arrest, and campus events and sports were canceled. Students and staff were invited to pray together, and counseling services are available for emotional support.
