Chicago weekend plagued by gun violence: dozens shot and killed.

At least 55 people have been shot, nine fatally, in shootings across Chicago over the three-day holiday weekend so far, police said. The shootings occurred in various neighborhoods, with the most recent incident resulting in five people being shot, two fatally, on the city's South Side. Police said a car pulled up alongside the gathering, and someone inside opened fire. Last weekend, 31 people were shot, four fatally, in gun violence across Chicago.
