Child Shot by Neighbor While Riding Scooter in Chicago

Serabi Medina, a 9-year-old girl from Chicago, was shot and killed by a neighbor while playing outside her apartment building. The neighbor, Michael Goodman, allegedly came out of his apartment with a gun and targeted Serabi, shooting her in the head. Serabi's father tried to protect her but was unable to prevent the tragedy. This incident marks the second tragedy of gun violence for the family, as Serabi's mother was also shot and killed in 2018. The community is mourning the loss of the young girl, and there has been an outpouring of support for the family. Goodman has been charged with first-degree murder.
