Children's Book Author Charged with Husband's Murder After Writing About Grief

Linda King, a family friend of Utah murder suspect Kouri Richins, expressed shock about her arrest for allegedly poisoning her husband Eric to death in March 2022. King introduced Kouri to Eric at a Home Depot years ago and encouraged them to date. Kouri wrote a children's book on grief to help her children deal with their father's death, which she claimed was due to a brain aneurysm. However, an autopsy found that Eric died of an oral overdose of fentanyl, and Kouri has been charged with first-degree aggravated murder and three counts of second-degree possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
