Cold Case Closed: Arrest Made in 2002 Heflin Double Murder

A man recently released from a Florida prison has confessed to the 2002 killings of a pregnant woman and her 6-year-old son in Heflin, Alabama. Lewis Ladon Spivey, who had served a 20-year sentence for robbery and aggravated assault, was taken into custody after an extensive investigation. Spivey has given a complete confession and taken sole responsibility for the murders, although his relationship to the victims remains unknown.
