Cold Case Closed: Woman Arrested 20 Years After Newborn Found Dead at Phoenix Airport

A woman has been arrested in Washington state for the murder of her newborn baby, known as "Baby Skylar," whose body was found in a Phoenix airport restroom nearly 20 years ago. Modern forensic testing and genetic genealogy helped law enforcement identify 51-year-old Annie Anderson as the suspect. Anderson admitted to being the baby's mother during an interview with investigators in January 2022. She is now in custody in Washington state and is expected to face multiple felony charges upon extradition to Phoenix.
