Cold Case Solved: David Zandstra Arrested for 1975 Murder of Gretchen Harrington

David Zandstra, an 83-year-old man from Marietta, Georgia, has been charged with the 1975 murder of 8-year-old Gretchen Harrington in Delaware County, Pennsylvania. Zandstra, a former pastor, allegedly confessed to the crime during an interview with Pennsylvania State Police. Harrington was abducted and her body was found two months later. Zandstra has been charged with criminal homicide, first, second, and third-degree murder, kidnapping of a minor, and possession of an instrument of crime. The case took a turn when an alleged victim of child sexual abuse by Zandstra came forward in January 2023. Investigators are concerned there may be more victims.
