Colorado driver attempts to switch seats with dog while intoxicated

A man in Colorado attempted to switch seats with his dog during a traffic stop to avoid arrest for driving under the influence of alcohol. The police officer saw the man maneuvering inside the car and eventually getting out on the passenger side. The man claimed he was not driving and ran when asked about his alcohol consumption. He was caught 20 yards away and arrested on suspicion of charges including speeding, DUI, and additional warrants. The dog was given to an acquaintance of the driver to take care of while he was in jail and faced no charges.
