Columbus Police Officer Injured in Bank Robbery Shootout

A Columbus police officer was injured and a suspect was shot and killed during a shootout on Interstate 70 near Downtown. The incident began with the theft of a Porsche SUV from a car dealership, followed by an armed robbery at a bank. At least one person in the stolen vehicle fired at officers, hitting one officer who underwent emergency surgery. One suspect was shot and killed at the scene, while two others fled on foot. The investigation will be led by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation, and the officer's body camera footage is expected to be made public soon.
