Denver School Shooting Sparks Outcry Over Security and Gun Control.

Eric Sinclair, a Cedar Falls native and 1998 graduate of Cedar Falls High School, remains in serious condition after being shot by a student outside of East High School in Denver. Sinclair and Jerald Mason were both hurt in the shooting, with Mason having been released from the hospital. Friends describe Sinclair as a caring person who would make an effective teacher. The student suspected of the shooting later shot and killed himself and was required to undergo a pat down before entering the school.
