Detroit gas station clerk charged for locking customers before shooting

A Detroit gas station clerk, Al-Hassan Aiyash, has been charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of a customer who was shot by a man trying to leave the gas station with items worth less than $4. Aiyash remotely locked the door, keeping the man and three bystanders inside during the dispute. A magistrate set bond at $200,000 for Aiyash, who is accused of being grossly negligent. The shooter, Samuel McCray, has been charged with murder and other crimes.
