Downey Man Arrested for Serial Killings of Tijuana Sex Workers

U.S. authorities have arrested Bryant Rivera, a 30-year-old U.S. citizen from Los Angeles County, who is wanted by Mexican authorities for the killing of a Tijuana sex worker and possibly two others. Rivera is charged with at least one count of femicide and is suspected of being a serial killer. Mexican investigators have gathered evidence linking him to the crime scenes. Rivera appeared in U.S. District Court in Los Angeles, where prosecutors requested his indefinite detention pending a formal extradition request from Mexico.
