Dramatic Escape: Robbery Suspect's Jaw-Dropping Leap from Building Caught on Camera

A robbery suspect in Los Angeles attempted to evade police by jumping off a roof, miraculously surviving the fall. The suspect, identified as Jeffrey Askew, was spotted on the roof of an apartment building and jumped to an adjacent single-story building before falling to the ground. Bodycam footage shows officers approaching Askew, who removed what appeared to be a firearm from his waistband but was later confirmed to be a hammer. One officer fired at Askew, striking him. Askew and three other suspects were taken into custody and charged with various offenses, including home invasion robbery and residential burglary. The incident is under investigation.
